Veterinary Nurses

Liz:  Liz started veterinary nursing in 2004 but joined the Croydon Pet Hospital team in 2012.  Her nursing passions include anything surgical, nursing animals back to recovery, and client interaction and education.

Liz completed a course in wildlife first aid and nursing and got to put her skills into action becoming a wildlife volunteer rescuer/vet nurse during the Black Saturday fires.  She also volunteers for Pets of the Homeless, an amazing organisation that provides food, veterinary care and emergency boarding assistance to pet owners in need.

Liz and her husband Adam have two daughters, Ella and Olivia and also share the home with their spoodle, Indi and cat, Milly.

Tiffany:   Tiffany has been vet nursing for over 7 years, achieving her Certificate IV in veterinary nursing in 2013.  She joined Croydon Pet Hospital in 2014 and has enjoyed being part of the team every since.

Tiffany really enjoys being able to help make patient visits as comfortable and stress-free as possible.  Extra love and cuddles go a long way and Tiff prefers to use the “less is more” approach as much as possible.

The most rewarding aspect of Tiffany’s work is nursing our patients back to good health so they can continue their recovery back home with their families where they are loved and missed.  She loves nothing more than to hear that pets are back to their usual selves after illness or surgery.

Tiffany and her husband share their home with a handsome cat, Flinders, who is an 11 year old black DSH full of attitude and food.

Kirsty:Kirsty has always had the dream of becoming a Veterinary Nurse since she was little and did so after graduating from year 12, where she went straight on to complete her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at Box Hill Tafe.  Kirsty joined the team at Croydon Pet Hospital in February 2015 when she started her Nursing course and has loved every aspect of her job ever since, surgical nursing in particular.

In the not too distant future, Kirsty would like to enrol in and complete a Diploma in General Practice and continue with further education.

Away from CPH, Kirsty loves heading away camping whenever she gets spare time and has her two border collies, Jed (9 years old) and Sam (8 years old) join her and the family also wherever they go!

Karen: Karen started her veterinary nursing career in 2003 and was pleased to join Croydon Pet Hospital in 2015.  Karen enjoys all aspects of vet nursing, but especially caring for hospital patients, creating a stress-free environment for patients and clients.  She also takes interest in environmental enrichment and behaviour.

Karen and her husband share their home with Lily, a loving pug x, and three sweet cats, Amy, Isabelle and Dora.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, pets and house plants.  She also enjoys music and travel.

Brooke: Brooke started her nursing career in VCE where she completed Certificate IV in Vet Nursing. She has continued to enjoy nursing for the past 13 years. Along the way she has undertaken studies in Rabbit nursing and wildlife care and has a keen interest in caring for small mammals.

Brooke joined the team at Croydon Pet Hospital recently and works part time. The rest of her time is spent raising her three children aged 7, 4 and 3, as well as looking after her menagerie of animals which includes her three dogs Lady, Copper and Mac, a cat named Meerkat, Big Foot her rabbit, the two horses Tex and Thomas and her most loved goats Santa and Ned.

Paris:  Paris is our trainee veterinary nurse, and has been with us since May 2018. She is now in her second year of studying Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at Box Hill Tafe. Paris has always loved caring for animals, and wanted to find a career where she could work and spend time with them every day.

Paris has a handsome Burmese cat named Fudge, a black Labradoodle named Boo with a crazy personality, and two cheeky Mini Lop x Netherland Dwarf bunnies called Blossom and Forrest. She has a strong interest in rabbit care and loves creating enrichment and fun for her two rabbits at home.

In her spare time, Paris enjoys dance classes and loves performing on stage whenever she gets the chance. Paris loves learning new skills from the lovely team at Croydon Pet Hospital and looks forward to an ongoing and rewarding career in the Veterinary Nursing industry.
